Mon 20 May 2019 Jan Edmondson

    Friday May 24th

    9am

A very quiet bunch this morning, they have loved their time in Arthog but they are also ready for home and their own beds.

They are going orienteering this morning then lunch after which they will be returning to school.Having packed and cleared up, we have just had final room inspection and we were awarded 11/10.  Even though she is Maths lead in school, Mrs Stowell is a bit confused by this mark, but very proud of her class.

The bus is due to leave Arthog at 1pm.  Mrs Stowell will confirm leaving time and approximate arrival time at school once they have left.

    Thursday May 23rd

    12.45pm

They made the top of the mountain - and celebrated.  See picture below.

    9 am

Last night's night-line exercise went very well.  Everyone faced some real fears and worked together as a team.

Most of today we are together as a whole group, among other things we are mountain walking - looking for drop bears.

    Wednesday May 22nd

    1.01pm

Fab morning canoeing the Mawddach estuary.  Basil says it was wet and Jac says he's hungry.  All are happy and ready for the gorge this afternoon.

    11.26am

We have received the first set of pictures - see below.

    9.00am

Another fab night.  All very rested and they had to be woken this morning.   Even Mrs Ryan slept well.

Today we are have a voyager boat ride and gorge walk for one group and rock climb and beach clean for the other.  All in very high spirits.

    Tuesday May 21st

    3.00pm

Group went to Barmouth this morning for hill walking, rock climbing and rock scrambling.  Mrs Stowell says she is a very proud teacher of this amazing bunch and is especially proud of Luke and Leah who overcame some real fears today.  There was then the very real possibility of ice cream.

    8.45am

A good night was had by all and everyone is now up and bright, heading for a full cooked breakfast.   The weather continues to be stunning and everyone is in high spirits.

    Monday May 20th 1.40pm

Year 6 and staff have arrived at Arthog safely and are now settling in.   They are spending this afternoon on the beach and will be orienteering later on. Mrs Stowell tells us that they have glorious sunshine there at the moment.  So let's keep our fingers crosses for the rest of the week.
