The first half term has go by so quickly and the children have worked incredibly hard and achieved so much, that I thought the Half Term Homework should be a fun exercise.

The children could investigate Bread: the different types, the nutritional value, the ingredients, the link with World War 1 and design their own new flavour combinations.

This is the activity I am setting.

Please could the children:

1. Make the bread they have designed. I have stapled a packet of yeast to this letter to support you in this.
2. Take photos during the process, of the finished product and of the family taste testing the bread.
3. Complete the design and evaluation forms also stapled to this letter.
4. Return the photos and the evaluation on the 10th November, a week after we return to school.

I hope that this will prove a FUN FAMILY ACTIVITY, which all the family can join in with.

I am also making my version and will share my results with the class on that first day and there may be a taste test session included.
