Beam - Emotional Well-being Support for Children and Young People

 

Beam offer low level, brief intervention emotional wellbeing support for children and young people up to the age of 25 as well as their parents, carers and professionals

‘Drop in’ sessions are now running on the following days:- no appointment is needed, please come along and talk with an Emotional health and wellbeing Practitioner.

  • Monday ‘Drop Ins’ – 12pm – 4pm  (last session 3.15pm) at The Lantern, Meadow Farm Drive, Shrewsbury, SY1 4NG  
  • Tuesday ‘Drop Ins’ – 10am –6pm (last session 5.30pm) at Beam, 9 Market Square, Wellington, TF1 1BP  
  • Thursday ‘Drop Ins’ – 10am –6pm (last session 5.30pm) at Beam, 9 Market Square, Wellington, TF1 1BP

Additionally, there are four Workshops which will be conducted via Teams at various different times to enable more people to attend,: 

  • Supporting Children & Young People with Anxiety – aims & Objectives are to pass over psycho - education within the topic followed by practical suggestions of methods & techniques to help support the youth experience issues with anxiety. 
  • Wednesday 13th April 2022 10am or Wednesday 11th May 2022 at 12:30pm (Teams meeting)
  • Wellbeing Planning – a workshop which explains & provides a tool for Children & Young people to support their general Emotional Health & Wellbeing, it recognises triggers and promotes self-awareness, his can also be used as a relapse tool to support resilience. 
  • Wednesday 27th April 2022 at 12:30pm or Wednesday 25th May 2022 at 10am (Teams Meeting)
  • Sleep Support - aims to pass over psycho - education within the topic followed by practical suggestions & advise of methods & techniques to help support the children & young people having difficulties with getting to sleep and staying a sleep. 
  • Wednesday 6th April at 11:30am or Wednesday 4th May 12:30pm (Teams Meeting)
  • Understanding & responding to Self-Harm -  – aims & Objectives are to pass over psycho - education within the topic followed by practical suggestions of methods & techniques to help support the youth experience issues with self-harm.
  • Wednesday 20th April 11:30am or Wednesday 18th May 12:30pm (Teams Meeting)
