Please use the following link to complete this short questionnaire, thank you.
  • SCHOOL GARDENS

Fri 09 Mar 2018 Jan Edmondson

After the snow, the rain and the very, very cold weather, it is lovely to see plants pushing their noses through the ground and bringing specks of colour to the gardens.

Mrs Rothera overwintered some primulas, donated to school by the Parks Department.  These have been planted this week and make a really colourful splash in one of the beds in Mary's Garden.

We are getting to the time of year when the children will be working in the garden with our volunteers so if you have any unwanted plants or seeds (flower or vegetable) please remember us.

  • ARTHOG WATCH 2018

Tue 06 Mar 2018 Jan Edmondson

    Tues 6/3/18

After a good night's sleep everyone was up and ready to go this morning.   Today the children are working in two groups.  One group is going on a expedition in a Canoe and the other is Rock Climbing.

The photographs show some of the activities the children did yesterday afternoon.  Although overcast, there doesn't seem to be very much snow left in the area.

    Wed 7/3/18

The children have had  a lovely day and the weather has been sunny and dry- Showing the scenery at it's best !

Mrs H Jones's group has been clambering up mountains, rock climbing and litter picking on Barmouth beach for our conservation award.

Mrs C Jones and Mrs Bateman's group have been making and sailing rafts and have also been on the Voyager ( Photos to follow)

Every one is settled and eating well ( some  a bit too well). Everyone had a good night sleep last night.... all the fresh air and activities are wearing the children out.

    Thurs 8/3/18

Wednesday was another busy but enjoyable day, with gorge walking and rock climbing just a couple of the activities the groups were involved in.

We hope you are enjoying the pictures that are being sent through to us each evening.

    Fri 9/3/18

As you will see from the new photographs, there was another action packed day.   It started with show, but that didn't last too long and didn't stop the raft building and the other activities planned for the day.

The bus arrived back five minutes early and it was lovely to see Year 6 back in school again - it hasn't been the same without them.  They came back smiling and full of their adventures, which I am sure they will be sharing with their families this weekend.

  • Arthog Trip 5.03.18

The Year 6 trip to Arthog will be going ahead as normal. Please can children arrive a little earlier at 8:40am.   Weather there is much better and it also expected to improve over the weekend. If anything changes parents will be informed over the course of the weekend. We hope you all have a fantastic time and you bring lots of layers to keep warm :-)
  • FRIDAY MARCH 2nd 2018: SCHOOL ARRANGEMENTS

Thu 01 Mar 2018 Jan Edmondson

We plan to be open on Friday March 2nd 2018 with our usual timetable except that children will be having a series of special clubs during break and lunch times so they can avoid the cold weather.

After School Clubs will run but please note that Film Club will finish at 4.15pm on this occasion only.  Please can parents ensure children are picked up promptly at 4.15pm from both Film and Fun Fitness Clubs as staff will be leaving school by 4.30pm.

Please monitor this website, the school Facebook page and Shropshire Radio just in case the weather conditions worsen overnight to a point where we will not be able to open.

If we need to close during the day tomorrow we will post a message on this website, on the school Facebook page and use the usual text system to advise parents.
