Welcome to Our Lady & St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School in Oswestry.

It is a privilege to lead this welcoming community, where we work together to ensure every child feels known, valued and loved. I hope our website gives you a sense of the care, ambition and joy that shape life at our school.

At the heart of our school is Christ and his promise:

“I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”

John 10:10

Life to the Full

For us, “Life to the Full” means helping children grow in faith and confidence, discover their God-given gifts, and develop the knowledge, character and skills to use them well.

Our Catholic faith shapes our teaching, relationships and daily life. We are proudly Catholic and warmly welcome families of all faiths and none.

Our three school promises give children practical ways to live our Gospel values each day:

We Are Kind
We Try Our Best
We Make Safe Choices

Growing and Learning Together

We combine care with ambition for every child’s learning. From purposeful play and exploration in the early years to increasingly independent learning as children grow, we encourage curiosity, perseverance and pride in progress.

Families are essential partners in this journey. By listening, celebrating successes and working through difficulties together, we build the trusting relationships that help children flourish.

It is an exciting time for our school as we continue to enrich our learning environments and prepare for our new nursery, creating further opportunities for children to explore, discover  and grow.

Come and Meet Us

The best way to get to know our school is to visit, meet our children and staff, and experience our community for yourself. Please contact our school office to arrange a visit. We would be delighted to welcome you and your family.
