Key Stage 2 Results 2026 – Provisional

We are delighted with the achievements of our Year 6 pupils in the 2026 Key Stage 2 assessments. Outcomes represent a significant improvement on recent years and are above national outcomes across a number of key measures.

Reading, Writing and Maths Combined

70.8% of pupils achieved the expected standard or above in Reading, Writing and Maths combined, compared with 63.3% nationally.

20.8% of pupils achieved the higher standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined, compared with 9% nationally.

The national 2026 figures above are from the DfE's accredited KS2 statistics. Nationally, 63.3% achieved the combined Expected Standard; subject Expected+ outcomes were 75% Reading, 73% Writing, 75% Maths and 74% GPS. At the higher standard, national outcomes were 9% combined RWM, 31% Reading, 13% Writing Greater Depth, 27% Maths and 30% GPS. National average scaled scores were 106 in Reading, 105 in Maths and 105 in GPS.

A significant improvement

These results represent a substantial improvement in attainment at Our Lady & St Oswald’s. The proportion achieving the combined Expected Standard has increased from 54% in 2025 to 70.8% in 2026, returning the school to the strong level last seen in 2023, when 71% achieved the combined standard.

The improvement at the higher standard is particularly notable. In the previous three published years, no pupils achieved the combined higher standard; in 2026, 20.8% did so.

Our Reading and Maths average scaled scores have also risen to 107 and 106 respectively, compared with the school's 2023–2025 averages of 105 in Reading and 101 in Maths.

We are extremely proud of our pupils and grateful to the staff who have supported them. These outcomes reflect the pupils' hard work, high expectations and the commitment of the whole school community.

2026 school figures are provisional pending completion of the national checking process. The Writing Greater Depth and combined higher-standard figures reflect the school's confirmed final teacher assessments and are currently subject to an STA data correction.
