Welcome to Our Lady & St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School in Oswestry. It is a privilege to lead a community where we want every child to be known, valued and loved.

At the heart of our school is Christ and his promise:

“I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10

For us, “Life to the Full” means helping children grow in faith and confidence, discover their God-given gifts, and develop the knowledge, character and skills to use them well.

Our Catholic faith shapes our teaching, relationships and daily life. We are proudly Catholic and warmly welcome families of all faiths and none. Our three promises—We Are Kind, We Try Our Best, We Make Safe Choices—give children practical ways to live our gospel values each day.

We combine care with ambition for every child’s learning. From purposeful play and exploration in the early years to the challenges of becoming increasingly independent learners, we want children to be curious, persevere and take pride in their progress.

Families are an essential part of this journey. By listening, sharing successes and working through difficulties together, we build the relationships that help children flourish.

It is an exciting time for our school as we strengthen our learning environments and prepare for our new nursery. I hope this website gives you a sense of our community, but the best way to get to know us is to visit.

Please contact our school office to arrange a visit. We would be delighted to welcome you and your family.
