  • SEND Information & Report

At Our Lady and St Oswald's Catholic Primary school, we aim to offer excellence and choice to all of our pupils, whatever their ability or needs, and strive to be a fully inclusive school.  We have high expectations of all our children and want all our pupils to feel a valued part of our school community.

To find out more information about SEND at Our Lady's, please read our SEND Policy and SEND Information Report, which can be found on under the 'Key Information' tab/Policies': https://osoprimary.web07.juniperwebsites.co.uk/curriculum-policies-1

Our school Special Educational Needs Coordinator is currently our headteacher, Mr Conor Meehan, who can be contacted via the school office on: admin@osoprimary.co.uk

Special Educational Needs encompasses the management and delivery of strategies that enable the learning of all children in our school, including those with barriers to learning. At Our Lady's we follow the Shropshire County Council's website to identify areas of need.  Please follow the link below.

We would also like to signpost parents to Shropshire County Council's 'Local offer' outlining provision within Shropshire.

Here are some useful links to our local authority's website:

Having access to good quality information to help you understand the world of SEND is important when making decisions about your child's life.

This is where websites such as the SEND Local Offer can help you, or please use the direct link: https://next.shropshire.gov.uk/the-send-local-offer/

The SEND Local Offer sets out in one place useful information and provision for education, health and social care for children and young people in Shropshire who have special educational needs and disabilities.

The SEND Local Offer has two main sections. The first is the information section, where services and processes are explained, such as how to get extra help at nursery or school or who to speak to if you're worried about your child's progress. This section will introduce you to support that might help your family and help you to understand what is available from a range of services across education, health, social care, support for your family, finance, travel and transport and lots more.

The second section is SEND service directory. This is a comprehensive list of services, clubs, support groups and businesses that might be of use to your family. It provides a brief introduction to what's offered and contact details so that you can find out more. There's also a listing of events and activities for children and young people or for families to enjoy together.
