MP Owen Paterson visits school

Owen Paterson, MP for North Shropshire visited school on Friday June 27th, meeting children, staff and governors.

His visit coincided with the end of the School’s Eco Week and during his visit to the classrooms Mr Paterson saw displays the children had produced.  He was also able to visit the school’s grounds and see how the continuing support and enthusiasm of parents and volunteers has encouraged the school’s pupils to become involved.  The results include a productive vegetable garden and pretty environment enhanced by a variety of planting much of which is in recycled items ranging from wellies to tractor tyres.

Mr Paterson told us that he had been looking forward to visiting Our Lady & St Oswald's Catholic Primary School in Oswestry and seeing the progress that the school is making.  The school has a great reputation locally and the visit has given him the chance to hear from pupils and staff about the great work that they are doing.
